Curriculum

Sessions - 1-4
Lyrics, tune and bhaav of the first Ghazal / Thumri / Bhajan / Sufi composition, improvisation and developing of that composition with a focus on live stage performance;
Sessions - 5-8
Lyrics, tune and bhaav of the second Ghazal / Thumri / Bhajan / Sufi composition, improvisation and developing of that composition with a focus on live stage performance;
Sessions - 9-12
Lyrics, tune and bhaav of the third Ghazal / Thumri / Bhajan / Sufi composition, improvisation and developing of that composition with a focus on live stage performance

Thumri singers use delicate vocal techniques to express emotions like love and longing, creating a mesmerizing musical experience.
Learn how to sing while mastering complex compositions in greater depth. Also learn how to emote with what the composition and lyrics express.
Students can master the technical aspect of Thumri singing such as Murki, harkats and how to use various notes to bring the feel of composition.

Students should have a basic understanding of the form. Students must also complete an Intermediate course from Nāadgoonj Academy.
Suppose you understand various Semi-Classical compositions reasonably, which you might have learnt from any other teaching institute.
In that case, our expert teachers will evaluate your fundamental understanding before admitting you to the Advanced Course via our Intro Session.

After completing Module 1 of our Intermediate Course, comprising 60 sessions, our students can confidently perform the compositions in different forms they've learned so far.
